Embedding YouTube Videos-This will allow you to save your clip in a chosen drive. The clip is saved and will not be internet dependent. In order for a video clip to be compatible with Smart, it must be a flash file.

  • Choose a clip from YouTube. Place the word “kick” in front of the word “YouTube” in the video’s url address located in the browser. Please press the enter key. Please see example: http://www.kickyoutube.com/watch?v=cv-1i7Sx8L8

  • A new window will appear and “VDownloader” will be visible. If you are prompted, please select “run”. On the left, a choice of varied download options will appear. Please double click Download FLV-Medium Quality.

  • You will be prompted to open or save. Please double click on “Save”. Choose your location where you will save your video clip. The save as type box should read “flv Document”. This indicates that you have converted your clip into a flash file.

  • Open your Smart software, select “insert”, and “Flash Video File”. Locate the drive where you saved your converted clip and select the clip of choice. Double click “open” and your clip should appear in your Smart document.
